Plumbing Problems

broken pipe

These pipes tend to look great on the outside for years after the original installation.

This one in particular is a chrome S-Trap

However, on the inside, they are slowly corroding away. Until, one day, the pipe becomes too brittle and springs a leak.

Hopefully someone is on the premises when the leak occurs. Otherwise you end up with larger, water damage, issues.

This particular pipe was for a bathroom sink. The sink was draining very slowly and seemed to have a blockage. While snaking the drain there was a sudden release of pressure and the water went down quickly. Unfortunately, it ended up all over the floor!

These issues, among others, are why there has become a huge movement to plastic in the plumbing industry.
